Welcome!
WE invite you to join the four Vancouver Island host Chapters of “Island Images” as we meet for the annual Embroiderers’ Association of Canada Seminar to be held in Victoria BC, from May 15 to 23, 2012. The Arrowsmith Needle Arts Guild, the Island Stitchery Guild, the Cowichan Valley Needle Arts Guild and the Embroiderers’ Guild of Victoria present Seminar 2012 at the University of Victoria.

The Embroiderers’ Guild of Victoria (EGV) celebrated their 40th Anniversary in 2010. They meet in the evening on the first Thursday of the month (September to June) and during the day on the third Thursday of the month (September to June) at St. Aidan’s United Church in Victoria.

The Cowichan Valley Needle Arts Guild (CVNAG) started 13 years ago and is a sister guild of EGV. They have a stitching meeting on the first Thursday evening of the month (September to June) in Lake Cowichan and a business meeting on the third Thursday evening of the month in Duncan.

The Island Stitchery Guild (ISG) meets in the evening on the third Monday of the month (September to June) at 6:30 pm at the Christ Community Church in Nanaimo.

The Arrowsmith Needle Arts Guild (ANAG) will be 20 years old in 2012. This milestone will be celebrated with a member’s exhibition to be held on September 29, and 30, 2012 at the Qualicum Beach Community Hall. The ANAG meets at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre every 3rd Thursday from September to May at 10:00am.

Guests and new members are always welcome to any of the seven Chapters on the Island. For further information about any of the Island Chapters, or indeed any of the EAC Chapters, contact the EAC Regional Directors from the EAC website:

We have planned the traditional five day Seminar with a special full day class for youth members on Saturday May 19th. We are also offering the Needle Arts Forum, immediately after Seminar. The three class offerings for the Needle Arts Forum are intended to stretch your creative side as there will be no set project for these classes.

This seminar is packed with four day and two day classes covering a wide range of stitching techniques for all levels from the beginner to the advanced stitcher. Pick your classes (it may be difficult to choose) and join us for a great week of stitching and friendship in Victoria May 15-20, 2012.
We look forward to seeing you in May.
