2012 Artist Trading Card Challenge

Be a part of the exchange! Begun in 2006, the numbers have grown from 80 cards created by 31 stitchers to 333 cards from 12 Youth members, 64 Canadian stitchers and four International stitchers.

  • Deadline: March 15, 2012.
  • Size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches (finished size)
  • Subject: Whatever you would like to stitch.
  • Method: However you would like to stitch.
  • Backing: Something firm that can be written upon.
  • Information to be included on the back of your card: the date, your name, address, email address (if you have one), and the title of your piece (optional)
  • Ideas: Samples of past contributions can be found on the EAC website and in past issues of Embroidery Canada.
  • Mailing: Bubble envelopes, thicker paper envelopes or cards protected by a trifold piece of paper and plain envelopes.
  • Postage: Will depend on the number being mailed.

Some Guilds have elected to send their cards in as one mailing, and receive them back in one mailing. Another option is to have the cards arrive in mailing, and be returned individually. if you choose this method, be sure to put sufficient postage on the return envelopes. Card may also be sent in by individual members.

Whichever method you choose, be sure to send a stamped (sufficient postage), self-addressed envelope for the cards you will receive in exchange for your card(s).
