The Embroiderers’ Association of Canada, Inc. (EAC) is committed to protecting the privacy rights of its members. These following policies are in effect for the web page, purchases, course registrations and magazine.
Collected Information: EAC collects only information that is voluntarily given by members and visitors, to be stored and used to provide services. Information that is collected by EAC shall be voluntarily provided by its members. The information collected may be retained in the EAC Archives, and in the working documents of the Board members but only while that the individual is active on the Board of EAC. or an Appointee. The information that is collected is intended to provide services for the individual member, to advertise internally the accomplishments of the members to announce recipients of awards and to promote the members within the organization who provide teaching and counseling services to the membership. Information collected is used for internal purposes only. EAC maintains a strict policy, meaning, EAC does not consent to sell, rent, or give any information obtained from the website or submissions forms to a third party, other than those involved in specific association activities. If information is requested, from outside the EAC board members, permission to release must first be received from person it is in regards to. Permission to release information that has been collected by EAC must be obtained from the member from whom it was received. The member may refuse to grant this permission. Information collected when purchasing or sending a submission form: EAC maintains the privacy of its members transactions and uses this information for the use specified on the form. Credit information is kept secure and on record only for accounting purposes, as required by law. Privacy Online www.eac.ca contains links to other web sites and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites. Our web site does not share any of the individual personal information you provide. Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example through email, that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information on line that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties. Be careful and responsible whenever on line. Be sure to only send contact & credit information using our secure web application. Your Consent to this Agreement By using EAC’s web site www.eac.ca, or submitting an application, you consent to the collection and use of information by the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada, Inc. as specified above.
